Plaits and braids have been on our radar since way back when. After gracing the covers of our favourite glossies for the whole of 2011 the AW12 catwalks proved that the plait is here to stay.
Celebs have taken the trend a step further, sporting plaits so thick they remind us of ropes! Usually swept to the side, and slightly textured, the rope braid looks effortless – but of course still glam! You can easily achieve this look with Goody by following these three simple steps:
- Spritz a texturizing/surf spray through the lengths of locks, scrunching slightly as you go
- Side part hair and braid into a loose unstructured plait
- Secure the end with a Goody Crystal Elastic for invisible hold that wont spoil the look of your braid
Our fave celebs from the likes of Elizabeth Olsen to Dianne Kruger have been seen rocking the rope braid. Looks to be cult classic in the making…

There is not a look Katy Perry, the true ‘California Girl’ cannot successfully pull off. From candy pink tresses to her present risqué blue locks, Perry continues to show the world how to make a statement.
Katy was spotted in numerous stunning ensembles whilst attending several fashion shows this week in Paris. The super songstress rocked out an edgy look at the Yves Saint Laurent show with a blue topknot and smokey eye make up. However, if Katy’s blue hair is too bold for you, never fear, Goody have the answer! Try adding hints of colour using Goody Double Dare Me Elastics (£3.09) the name says it all, and they are in stores now!
You may have noticed that Katy is not the only celeb sporting a new colourful look. Vanessa Hudgens has also been mixing it up by making drastic changes to her glossy brunette mane. Her locks were cut short last summer and now the star is road testing the age old saying to see if blondes really do have more fun! On another note, if you, like Vanessa, can constantly be found with a hair band around your wrist, have you seen Goody’s pony-tailers and jewelry in one double wear? Check out the below post for more details.

Women are renowned for wearing a hair band around their wrist. It’s an age-old habit that puts convenience before cool. With our latest creation, DoubleWear hitting Boots stores this month, everyone’s hair essential can now be cleverly disguised as an item of jewellery. Available in silver or gold, DoubleWear comes in a stylish bracelet or necklace design. Bracelets morph into hair elastics and necklaces become headbands….why did no one think of this earlier?
The DoubleWear elastics can be stacked on the wrist for an on-trend look, or even disguised amongst a flurry of fashion-forward bangles. Once in the hair, the simplistic gold or silver designs look sophisticated- bearing no resemblance to their earlier “bracelet” form.

Frizzy festival hair is set to become a thing of the past as the nifty DoubleWear necklaces can push hair back in an instant, preventing it from falling in your face so you can let go on the dance floor. Again, each pack in this style comes with a gold or silver option. Why not wear both together for an eclectic boho look?
At a purse friendly £3.75 each, with an added multi-purpose bonus, can you really afford not to buy? Convenience has never been so chic!
