The Spin Pin from Goody is fast becoming the must-have hair tool of the season, even winning over top celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward (chief stylist to none other than Kate Middleton).
On yesterday’s Lorraine TV show, Richard recommended the Spin Pin to the nation and also demonstrated it’s ability to “create up-do’s & bun’s with convenience”.
You can see the Spin Pin in action here:
We were also loving the sparkling head piece trend picked up by Richard, especially the look seen on Jessica Alba. Her jewel adorned topknot was reminiscent of that of a Disney princess. We’ll be lining our topknot’s with Jewel Flower Bobby Pins from now on.

Bad hair days hit us all, but you don’t have to let them get the better of you.
Flat hair?
First use your fingertips to massage your scalp, this will give your hair an instant root boost. Then for hair with height in minutes, simply backcomb sections of hair from the crown using a Goody Tail Comb. Alternatively clip a clever Goody Simple Styles Volume Boost Comb into the front of hair to create face flattering voluminous quiff.
Dry hair?
Dry hair is a struggle but don’t give up on it just yet. Goody’s Boar Blends brushes distribute natural oils through the lengths of hair, leaving even the most dehydrated of hair types silky soft.
Split ends?
Be kind to your hair! Only comb/brush wet hair using a tool that really lives up to the task. Using a normal brush on vulnerable wet hair will not only tug and split the ends, it will also leave hair follicles in a frizz frenzy. Check out Goody’s selection of Ouchless Detangling Combs and start showing your hair some love.
Short on time?
Still want to be bang on trend but don’t have hours to spend in front of the mirror? This is the three day style solution for you:
Day 1: Wash hair and braid into this season’s side fishtail plait. Secure with a snag free Goody Ouchless Elastic
Day 2: Unravel your plait for perfect beachy waves, adding a touch of fun with a Goody Jewel Flower Contour Clip
Day 3: Everyone knows that textured hair is the best for creating up-do’s. Use the Spin Pin from Goody to twist your locks into the ultimate un-done bun

Celebrity hair trends come & go but there are some star styles that have the entire nation flocking to their dressing table. Over the years, sought after styles have become so iconic they even have their own name! Here are our fave hair icons, but do you agree?
Jennifer Aniston
Named after her much-loved character in Friends, “the Rachel” became the most coveted look of the nineties. Bouncy, layered and blow-dried to within an inch of its life, this style was infamous enough to be given it’s own Wikipedia site!
Victoria Beckham
Victoria rocked the hair world when she stepped out with the now infamous Pob. Copied by wannabe WAGs and fashionistas alike this cropped style, had it-girls flocking to the salon ready for the chop.

Cheryl Cole
Nobody does volume like Cheryl, and it was her body-beautiful lengths that had everyone reaching for the clip-in extentions. Backcombing and blowdrying were back in Vogue and a new height was created for hair.
But who is the hair icon of 2011?
The current crown goes to…..
Kate Middleton
The ever-immaculate Duchess of Cambridge has us all lusting after her perfectly polished look. It may look as simple as a luxurious blowdry, but her gloriously glossy tresses have us reaching for the rollers every time.
